形态描述
体长，平扁，背部隆起，腹部凹，后部侧扁。头宽扁。眼极小。口下位，近横裂。唇厚，具乳突，唇间皮膜相连。须4对，细短，唯上颌须发达，全部由宽阔的皮膜与吻部相连，末端圆钝。鳃孔小，止于胸鳍基中央。背鳍短，无硬刺；臀鳍短小；脂鳍低长；偶鳍平展，第一根鳍条宽扁，具横褶；胸鳍宽圆，末端超过腹鳍起点；尾鳍平截。
生物学
Head depressed and broad, gill opening narrow, the first rays of pectoral and ventral fins enlarged and transversely striated to form an adhesive apparatus. This catfish is found in the Lancang-jiang River, the Nujiang River, the Irrawaddy River and the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zanbo River.
